Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is nicely situated, making it easy to access from the busy A68 and near the highways. The dining area is fresh with seasonal products, offering a lovely room for a tasty hearty breakfast. The rooms facing the road are open to restaurant guests constantly wandering through, which can be a downside, especially if seeking a quiet stay.
The hotel offers a mixed experience. The rooms are comfortable but disturbed by restaurant guests for an additional charge. The service is friendly and attentive, with inappropriate remarks being a downside. The location is convenient but lacks a peaceful atmosphere. The dining is good, with a lovely setting, but the omelette options were limited. Additional charges for disturbances may not align with the overall value for money.
The hotel was a delightful surprise with outstanding rooms offering views of the garden, although facing the road, and a remarkable bathroom. The service was top-notch with attentive staff doing their best to make my stay pleasant. The location was lovely, convenient to access Edinburgh central within 15 minutes and close to major highways. The dining experience was enjoyable, especially with a tasty breakfast, and the refurbished bar lounge added to the experience. However, the inappropriate remarks were a downside, warranting improvement.
